Tamalpais Community Services District Creekside Concert Series
60 Tennessee Valley Road
Tamalpais Valley (Mill Valley)
415-388-6393
This was our third year performing at the Creekside Concert Series, sponsored by the Tamalpais Community Services District. We also played at this outdoor southern Marin event in 2007 and 2008, so we looked forward to rockin' the Creekside again this summer. Families and friends from across Tam Valley and Mill Valley danced, sang along, and ate great barbecued food, but it was a little too chilly for a swim in adjacent Coyote Creek! Everybody had a great time.
Saturday, July 3, 2010
11201 Highway 1
415-663-1661
The Old Western Saloon was another first for the band--we've had lots of "firsts" this year! This is THE place for live entertainment in Point Reyes Station and has attracted a lot of good bands--Greg Allman even showed up unannounced and jammed with one of the bands there! We don't think that Greg Allman showed up on July 3, but we lit up the place with our own musical "fireworks."
Friday and Saturday, June 25-26, 2010
Derailed Saloon
925 Main Street
Durango, Colorado
970-247-5440
Eric and former band member John Shinnick took a road trip to Durango, Colorado, for two shows with former Void lead guitarist Larry Carver. Larry is well-established in the local music scene after moving from the San Francisco Bay Area several years ago. Whenever he can, he books an annual reunion Void Where Prohibited gig in Durango. It's always a rockin' good time and this year was no exception! As Larry said, "You guys took the town by storm!" We had a blast playing our favorite classic rock songs for two nights--we even played an extra hour on Saturday night because the crowd kept wanting more. We're looking forward to next year!
Saturday, June 12, 2010
10005 Main Street
Penngrove, CA
707-664-8018
Penngrove Pub is a very popular tavern in the town of Penngrove, just a few miles north of Petaluma in Sonoma County. Although it's a small tavern, it's got a lot of charm, and the rumor was true that the locals love classic rock, especially songs by Neil Young and Tom Petty. We had a lot fun making new friends and rockin' out at the Penngrove Pub.

Strawberry Recreation District - Strawberry Festival
118 East Strawberry Drive
Mill Valley, CA
415-383-6494
Strawberry Recreation District in Mill Valley sponsored its first Strawberry Festival and they asked Void Where Prohibited to be one of several local bands. The Strawberry Festival is a free community event hosting local musicians, restaurants, community leaders and more to jump-start the 2010 summer season. We had a great afternoon soaking up the sun and good vibes, and supporting the community. The festivities started at 11:30 a.m. and Void played from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. We hope they'll invite us back next year!
Friday, May 21, 2010
5745 Old Redwood Highway
Penngrove, CA
707) 795-5118
Twin Oaks Tavern is well known in Penngrove as a great place to meet friends after work, play pool, "shoot the bull," and hear great music--most often, it's country music! But Void Where Prohibited played our first Penngrove gig, and the crowd loved our classic rock. Many of John's friends were there, which made it even more fun. We look forward to playing there again!!
Saturday, March 20, 2010
Finnegan's Marin
877 Grant Avenue
Novato
415-899-1516
This was the first time Void Where Prohibited played at this well-known North Bay establishment. Finnegan's Marin has great food and a neighborhood pub atmosphere - and the best bands, of course! We rocked the house for 2-1/2 hours and ended the evening with the crowd calling out, "One more song! One more song!" We had a great time and so did the audience. We hope to return to Finnegan's in the near future!
Saturday, March 6, 2010
Wildfox Restaurant
225 Alameda del Prado
Novato
415-883-9125
This was our first gig at this great Novato restaurant/bar. And, it was our first gig with our new lead guitarist, Isaiah Mitchell. We played to an enthusiastic and appreciative audience; people ate very tasty food, drank their favorite libations (within reason, of course!), and partied with us the entire night. It was great fun and we're looking forward to a return engagement!
Saturday, January 3, 2009
Maggie McGarry's
1353 Grant Avenue
San Francisco
415-399-9020
Void Where Prohibited played to an enthusiastic and packed house at Maggie McGarry's, a popular Irish pub in San Francisco's North Beach neighborhood. Cries of “One more song” were heard as the band packed it in at 1:30 a.m!
2008-2009
2 AM Club (aka – “The Deuce”)
380 Miller Avenue
Mill Valley
415-388-6036
Void Where Prohibited rocked the famous 2 AM Club in Mill Valley for their special 2008 Cinco de Mayo celebration on May 3, 2008. This is the location of the cover photo of Huey Lewis and the News' album “Sports.” We had a blast! We again played there for a private party on June 28, 2009. We're looking forward to other gigs like those.
Saturday, April 26, 2008

2007-2009
McGovern's Bar
215 E. 4th Avenue
San Mateo
650-375-8435
Void Where Prohibited played four times at McGovern's in 2007 and, because they liked us so much, we rocked the place another 9 times in 2008, and again in June 2009! What a fun bar! We hope to play there again soon!

Four times in 2007, then 3 times in 2008, Void Where Prohibited headed north to Cotati and had a great time playing at Spancky's Bar. That college crowd knows how to party, so we'll be back!
2007-2008
Tamalpais Creekside Concert Series
60 Tennessee Valley Road
Tamalpais Valley (Mill Valley)
Friday, July 13, 2007 and Friday, June 27, 2008, Void Where Prohibited played outdoors at the Tamalpais Community Services District Creekside Concert Series in Mill Valley. There was great food and great fun at this outdoor venue. We're looking forward to our return engagement in 2010!
2007-2008
Forty's Pub
497 San Mateo Avenue
San Bruno
Void Where Prohibited played at Forty's Pub 3 times in 2007 and 3 times 2008. This was fun little bar. Too bad that they no longer have live music.
December 22, 2007
Shannon's Bar & Grill
55 Mitchell Blvd., Suite 11
San Rafael
We had an incredible time playing to VERY appreciative and generous crowd!
August 17-18, 2007
Scoot 'n Blues, Durango, Colorado
Eric, John Shinnick, and Drew Gordon (two former members of the Void) took a road trip to Durango, Colorado, for two shows with former Void lead guitarist Larry Carver. Great venue, great times, but alas, Scoot 'n Blues is no more. They were bought out and now do karaoke!
